Foods that cause bloating

Studies have shown that every person at some stage of life suffer from bloating, which we recognize as a feeling of pressure in the stomach and abdomen swelling.

Most of the time bloating is the result of irregular eating habits, especially eating to fast or oversized meals.

Cause of bloating is gas, which increasingly accumulate when we eat too fast, but also excessive salt intake. Also there are some foods that can cause bloating and, if you have symptoms of bloating after eating the following foods, be sure to reduce their intake.

Cabbages
Broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cabbage contain substances that slow down the digestive system. While it is advisable to eat vegetables without heat treatment, these foods should be at least shortly boiled to reduce the risk of bloating.

Milk and diary products
They do not cause bloating in all people, but only in those who suffer from lactose intolerance. Then the body does not have the enzyme needed to break down lactose. If you notice bloating every time after consumption of milk and dairy products, you probably suffer from lactose intolerance.

Fatty foods
Fatty foods cause bloating because fat is the last to be digested and leave the body. All types of fats are broken down more slowly, compared to carbohydrates and proteins.

Fast food
Fast food is rich in fat and sugar, which is ideal for bloating. When the body breaks down sugar, produced significantly more gas. For this reason, most people after a fatty and sugar foods and soft drinks feels bloating, but also stomach cramps.
